NIGHTCLUB DRESS CODE POLICIES ARE ALWAYS IN EFFECT
Nightclub dress code etiquette is expected and should never be a surprise. These are some of the hottest clubs in the world and they expect nothing but the best from our clients. We ask that you always remember to care what you wear so dress-to-impress. Proper attire is required for entrance into Hollywood nightclubs. A button-up shirt or polo and nice jeans are OK for men. NO sneakers. We are not responsible if you are denied entrance to any nightclub due to lack of proper identification or inappropriate clothing attire that due not meet the standards set by nightclub dress code policies.
In regards to nightclub dress code standards for men, you have to toe the line between business casual and trendy chic. The general rule of thumb is that you can almost always get away with neat jeans and a button down shirt. When it comes to footwear, a pair of black or brown slip-on dress shoes is the norm. Every club is different, but you can sometimes get away with a pair of dark designer sneakers (think True Religion, Steve Madden, etc.). You can also get away with a t-shirt occasionally when it is pulled off with style (think under a vest or blazer).
NO JERSEYS OR ATHLETIC GEAR – Jerseys and printed t-shirts can cause trouble. Many people think that the reasoning behind Hollywood nightclubs not allowing logos on clothing is gang-related. Although this may be true to some extent (some logos identify a person’s association with a certain group), there is a more basic approach to this rule. Let’s say you are wearing your favorite college logos, you have quite a bit to drink, and another intoxicated patron approaches you and says “[your team here] sucks!” In the club owner’s eyes, the odds of a fight starting are high. Another way of thinking is that jerseys and t-shirts are simply too casual for some places who want to see a sea of more discreet designer clothing on the dance floor.
- NO SPORTS HATS/CAPS
- NO TANK TOPS OR SLEEVELESS T-SHIRTS
- NO GANG/VIOLENCE RELATED MATERIAL
NO EXCESSIVELY LARGE CLOTHING – Baggy clothing is a no-no. Bar owners generally do not want patrons bringing anything in with them but their wallets. That may be all that’s in your deep pockets and heavy sweatshirt, but no one else knows that, so wear something that fits well and is not likely to conceal outside liquor, drugs, or weapons.
- NO CAMOUFLAGE
- NO PLAIN WHITE T-SHIRTS
- NO EXCESSIVELY GRAPHIC/RIPPED/TORN JEANS – Jeans / Trainers are fine (in good condition).
Nightclub Dress Code etiquette is rarely violated by ladies visiting Los Angeles nightlife. Wear something simple and sexy and you will almost never have any problems. The standard night out for a girl involves a tight dress and a pair of heels. There are other combinations that work (i.e. skirt with a cute top, tight black pants with a sexy top, etc.), but it is rare that you see a girl in jeans at a nightclub. Depending on the look you pair it with, it could be pulled off, but it is better to stick with the sure things. You can also get inspiration from Instagram where many ladies post their #OOTN (outfit of the night) or Tumblr. Going out you should feel confident and comfortable in what you are wearing, what’s the point in wearing a dress so short you feel so self-conscious that walking down the road is an issue. Or heels so high you can barely stand without a chaperone. Pick something that you can move comfortably in, after all are you are going to the club to party and have good time. You will probably have a few drinks and the last thing you want to deal with is an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
